Shanghai Arts and Crafts Museum

上海工艺美术博物馆

The Shanghai Arts and Crafts Museum occupies a 1905 European Renaissance-style garden villa on Fenyang Road in Xuhui, known as the Little White House for its columned facade. Inside, you'll find jade and wood carving, embroidery, lacquer, paper-cutting, lanterns, and other folk crafts, with resident artisans often working on site. The garden and building are as much a draw as the collection. Entry is around ¥8 (¥5 for students), open daily 09:00, 16:30 (last entry 16:00). Easy, low-key stop near Changshu Road metro.
