IPC Padel Club is a padel club inside the restored 1935 Jiangwan Stadium in Yangpu, Shanghai, with six indoor courts and two outdoor ones under an atmospheric heritage grandstand, and it has quietly become where the city's international crowd plays. It hosted the FIP Gold Shanghai world-tour stop in June, so the level on court next to you can be humbling. Gongqing Forest Park

Gongqing Forest Park is a large forest park in Yangpu District, the biggest woodland park in Shanghai's inner city, with close to 200,000 trees across a dozen landscaped zones. It is one of the city's finest places for autumn colour: maples, ginkgo, sweetgum and dawn-redwood turn gold and rust from mid-November into early December, with the redwoods reflecting in the park's lake. Entry is around 15 yuan (about USD 2) per adult, free for over-65s. Boating, a little forest train and barbecue areas make it an easy half-day out for families and couples.

Huangxing Sports Park

PLAYGOLF is the golf practice centre at the rebuilt Huangxing Sports Park in Yangpu, reopened in 2025 after a four-year renovation. Spread over 80,000 square metres, it runs more than 200 covered bays on multiple tiers with automated ball machines, plus real-grass chipping and putting greens and a short-game area. Lounges, food and drink, and a social crowd have made it a draw for younger players and expatriate residents who want serious practice without leaving the city. Simulators and coaching round out the offer.
