People's Park is a free public green space in Huangpu, on the north side of People's Square near Nanjing Road West. It sits on former racecourse grounds and mixes lawns, ponds, and shaded paths, with the Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai on its edge. On weekend afternoons, it hosts the well-known marriage market, where parents post handwritten profiles of their unmarried children along the paths. Entry is free, and People's Square station on Metro Lines 1, 2, and 8 is right alongside, making it one of the easiest parks to reach downtown.
