Bund City Hall is a restored 1922 landmark and exhibition space in Huangpu, the former Shanghai Municipal Council building reopened to the public after a painstaking restoration led by David Chipperfield Architects, its neoclassical corridors feeling like being let into a room the city kept locked for a century. It opened with a large Salvador Dali show, and the program keeps rotating: exhibitions, performances, and an immersive seven-course Taste of China dinner theater for a proper occasion.
