Longhua Hospital

Longhua Hospital is a major traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) hospital in Xuhui, Shanghai, on Wanping South Road, affiliated with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and open since 1960. A tertiary Grade A hospital, it is known for TCM oncology, acupuncture, orthopaedics and internal medicine, and combines Chinese and Western approaches across a large outpatient and inpatient campus. Registration for a general clinic starts from around ¥20 per visit, with higher fees for senior specialists, and foreign patients usually pay out of pocket or through private insurance. Outpatient clinics run mornings and afternoons on weekdays, with a 24-hour emergency department.
