Community Center Shanghai (CCS)

Community Center Shanghai (CCS) is a nonprofit counseling center in Xujiahui, with its downtown practice inside Jiahui International Plaza on Tianyaoqiao Lu, serving Shanghai's international community. More than 20 professional counselors work across two locations (Xuhui and Jinqiao in Pudong) and online, covering individual, couples, child and family therapy in multiple languages. Standard hours run Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with evening and weekend sessions by arrangement. Subsidized counseling is available for people going through a rough financial patch, funded by community donations. Book ahead through WeChat (CCS-Counseling) or counseling@communitycenter.cn; this is an appointment place, not a walk-in one.
