AP Plaza
AP Plaza is Shanghai's best-known bargaining market, an underground warren of stalls directly beneath Science and Technology Museum station in Pudong. Also signed as the AP Xinyang Fashion and Gifts Market, it sells replica and lookalike bags, watches, sneakers, sunglasses, scarves and small gifts, with a few fast-tailoring booths mixed in. Nothing carries a fixed price: vendors open high and expect you to haggle down, so come with cash and open at around 10 to 20 percent of the first quote. It runs daily from about 10am to 8pm, and weekday mornings are the calmest time to shop.
