Vivant by Johnny Pham

Vivant by Johnny Pham is a Michelin-starred French-Vietnamese restaurant near People's Square in Huangpu, set in the century-old Far Eastern Hotel. Johnny Pham cooked at Taian Table before opening his own room here, and in the 2026 Michelin guide it earned a star of its own. The French chef of Vietnamese descent runs a single seasonal tasting menu (1,888 RMB plus 10 percent) that moves between French technique and Vietnamese memory: think bouillabaisse with fish maw, pigeon with huangjiu. A special-occasion room with a story, and worth booking well ahead.
