Takashimaya

Takashimaya is an upmarket Japanese department store on Hongqiao Road in the Gubei area of Changning, western Shanghai. Across several calm, orderly floors, it gathers Japanese and international fashion, cosmetics, and homeware, plus a well-regarded basement food hall with depachika-style groceries and bento, and a cluster of Japanese restaurants and cafes. It's a longtime favorite with the district's large Japanese community and with anyone after Japanese brands, good stationery, or an unhurried weekday browse away from busier downtown malls. Open daily 10:00 to 21:30; the food hall and restaurants get busy at mealtimes.
