Supermonkey (Xintiandi)

Supermonkey (超级猩猩) is a pay-per-class, no-membership gym chain whose Xintiandi studio sits in B1 of Xintiandi Style II, 245 Madang Lu, Huangpu. There is no annual card and no membership sales pitch: you book single classes, from 69 RMB per class, through the brand's WeChat mini program. Options cover HIIT, strength circuits, spinning, boxing, dance and yoga, taught by full-time coaches. The studio opens roughly 8am to 10pm daily, and some coaches teach in English; the class notes say which. Supermonkey runs multiple studios across Shanghai, and this one, a few minutes from the Xintiandi metro interchange, is handy for the international crowd.
