Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital is a large public general hospital on Yishan Lu in Xuhui, affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. It's well-known for its orthopaedics and trauma department. Registration opens at 7:30 in the morning and again at 13:00. Queues are shorter if you book ahead through the hospital's own app or WeChat mini-program. Bring your passport. There is also a VIP and international outpatient clinic if you want an appointment slot and a quieter waiting room. A second campus sits in Lingang, Pudong, far from the centre.
