Ruijin Hospital

Ruijin Hospital is a major public teaching hospital in Huangpu, Shanghai, on Ruijin Er Road near Fuxing Park, with an English-speaking International Medical Department for foreign patients. Founded in 1907 and affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, it runs a full range of departments and is widely used by Shanghai residents. The International Medical Department in Building 10 offers a streamlined outpatient flow and direct billing with many insurers. Standard public outpatient registration starts from around ¥20, while the international department charges private rates. Outpatient hours run Monday to Saturday, roughly 8am to 5pm. Booking ahead is recommended, and bring your ID or passport.
