Propaganda Poster Art Centre

The Propaganda Poster Art Centre is a private museum on the seventh floor of Block K at 726 Yan'an West Road in Changning, tucked inside the Huamin Empire Plaza office tower with little signage at street level. Its collection gathers thousands of original Chinese posters from the 1940s to the 1970s, alongside a room of big character notices, tracing the visual language of the Mao era. Displays are labelled in English and Chinese, and reproductions are sold in the shop. Admission is around 25 RMB per person, and it opens daily from 10:00 to 17:00 with last entry at 16:30.
