Mercedes-Benz Arena

Mercedes-Benz Arena is an 18,000-seat indoor concert and events arena on the Pudong waterfront in Shanghai, built on the former Expo 2010 site. Opened in 2010 as the Shanghai World Expo Cultural Center, its saucer-shaped hall hosts major concerts, touring pop acts, sports and award shows. The complex also includes smaller clubs, a cinema, restaurants and retail around the main bowl. Walking the grounds and riverside promenade is free; you pay only when there is a show, and concert tickets generally start around ¥280. It sits beside the China Art Museum, a five-minute walk from China Art Museum station on Metro Line 8, so it pairs easily with the wider Expo park.
