Former Residence of Sun Yat-sen
The Former Residence of Sun Yat-sen is a preserved historic house museum on quiet Xiangshan Road in Huangpu. Here the founding father of modern China lived with Soong Ching-ling from 1918 to 1925. The two-story garden villa keeps much of its original furniture and personal effects, with an adjoining exhibition hall tracing his life and work. It sits a short walk from Fuxing Park and the Xintiandi lanes, an easy cultural stop on a walking day. Open Tuesday to Sunday, closed Mondays. Admission is around ¥20 per person, with concessions for students and seniors.
