Fairmont Peace Hotel

Fairmont Peace Hotel is a heritage hotel on the Bund in Huangpu, at the corner of Nanjing Road East and the Huangpu River waterfront. It opened in 1929 as the Cathay Hotel, and its green pyramid roof is a fixture of the Bund skyline. The Art Deco interiors, the Peace Gallery, the Jasmine Lounge afternoon tea, and the long-running Jazz Bar with its veteran house band are part of the appeal. Nightly rates usually start around 2,000 RMB and climb for suites. It is a short walk from the Nanjing Road pedestrian street and East Nanjing Road metro station.
