Columbia Circle

上生·新所

Columbia Circle, or Shangsheng Xinsuo, is a restored cultural and lifestyle complex in Changning District on Yan'an Xi Lu, near Xinhua Road and metro Lines 3, 4 and 10. Built on the grounds of the 1920s Columbia Country Club, it centers on a preserved open-air swimming pool ringed by Art Deco and Spanish-style buildings, now home to cafes, restaurants, a large bookstore, design shops and event spaces, including Blue Bottle Coffee. The grounds are open 24/7 and free to enter, with most venues open roughly 10:00 to 22:00. Dining and coffee cost around ¥100 to ¥200 per person, making it a relaxed spot for a slow afternoon.
