Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a long-established public TCM hospital in Jing'an District, on Zhijiang Middle Road. Founded in 1954 and affiliated with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, it runs an international outpatient service with bilingual support covering acupuncture, herbal medicine, tuina and chronic-condition care. As a public hospital its prices are low: registration is a small fee and treatments are charged per session, far below a private clinic. Bring your passport and, where possible, book the international clinic ahead.
