Shanghai Astronomy Museum is one of the world's largest astronomy museums, in the Lingang area of Pudong, Shanghai, on Lingang Avenue beside Dishui Lake near the end of metro Line 16. Opened in 2021 as a branch of the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, it has immersive galleries on the solar system, the wider universe and Chinese astronomy, plus a planetarium dome theater and rooftop observatory. Adult admission is around ¥30, with the dome theater about ¥40 extra. Tickets must be booked several days ahead through the official WeChat channel. It is closed Mondays and opens roughly 09:30 to 16:00.
