Wuzhong Market

乌中市集

Wuzhong Market is a renovated two-floor wet market on Wulumuqi Middle Road in Xuhui, the tidy, photogenic face of Shanghai's produce markets. Around fifty stalls sell fresh vegetables, fruit, seafood, tofu and cooked food, with a small coffee corner and flowers by the entrance. It has become a genuine stop on the city's tourist trail, so it is the softest first visit for anyone new to shopping a Chinese wet market. Prices are per 斤 (500g); a full bag of produce runs about ¥30 to ¥50.
