RAC Bar is a French cafe and bar on Anfu Lu in Xuhui, near the Wukang Lu corner. It serves all-day buckwheat galettes and sweet crepes with a Breton touch, plus coffee, natural wine, and cider, shifting to bistro plates in the evening. The savory galettes with ham, cheese, egg, and pancetta are the signature order, and a meal runs about 130 RMB per person. The room is small and reservations aren't taken, so weekend brunch can mean a wait, best spent on the sidewalk terrace. Anfu Lu is the stretch of Xuhui known as Shanghai's street-style catwalk, where photographers post up along the lanes to shoot the area's fashionable passers-by, so a sidewalk seat is as much for people-watching as for the galettes.
