Immigration Service Center

The Shanghai Exit-Entry Administration, commonly known as the Immigration Service Center, is the main government office for foreigners in Shanghai handling visas and residence permits, at 1500 Minsheng Road in Pudong New District. It processes visa extensions, residence-permit applications and renewals, and permanent-residence matters. Entry is free; individual service fees depend on the document, for example a residence permit that runs roughly ¥400 to ¥800. Counters open Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00, and the hotline is +86 21 2895 1900. It is reached via Science and Technology Museum Station on Metro Line 2.
