Butterbear Summer Takeover at BFC Bund Finance Center Shanghai, from July 3, 2026

Butterbear, the dancing bear mascot from a Bangkok bakery that took over the Chinese internet, has landed at BFC Bund Finance Center on the Huangpu waterfront from July 3, 2026 for a free summer-long takeover. Thirty-two Butterbear installations dot the 5F river-view terrace and the waterfront, joined by China's first Butterbear bakery-themed pop-up and a dessert market that ran across the first two July weekends. Wandering the installations is free; you only pay for pastries, soft-serve and merch, and the riverside setting makes it an easy golden-hour stop.
